Sketch #12 di Sketchalicous

Eccomi qui, son sparita e torno solo per una card...per lo sketch #12 di Sketchalicous!

C'e' un motivo per cui son svanita nel nulla e non ho piu' scrappato... e' un grosso progetto che mi sta portando via tanto tempo, prima o poi svuoto il sacco e ve lo racconto :)

Card Positiong System card sketch #202

I know, I haven't done much over the past few weeks. No layout's and very few cards. But I've been busy with a major work project and...I've tried out a few CUPCAKE's recipes :) yesss!!! :)

First of all let me show you the card I made for the latest CARD POSITION SYSTEM SKETCH # 202 :

I loved this sketch as soon as I saw it! And the card looks fine, I'm not disapponted by this one :)

Now...would you like to see all the cupcakes I've made over the past 2-3 weeks? Yes?? OK...here we go then....

ITALIANO: Non ho fatto molto di recente, nessun LO's, poche cards ma son stata occupata con un grosso progetto di lavoro e poi...ho sfornato cupcakes a go-go!! La card che vedi sopra l'ho fatta per lo sketch numero 202 di CARD POSITIONG SYSTEM.

Ti va' di vedere le cupcakes che ho fatto nelle scorse 2-3 settimane? Si??!!! Bene...cominciamo...

Moxie Fab World and...Cupcakes!

I know I've not done much over the past few days but I'm working on a huge work project and I'm rather busy! I had sometime to make a card following the colour inspiration by MOXIE FAB WORLD blog, the colours as you can see were...pink-ish-shades:) I tryed to do my very best, but I came up with this card and I'm not very satisfied. SobThis is a card I made for my best friend's wedding anniversary. Nice but still...I could have made a better one.
And finally this one..which I love! I believe it is very pretty and elegant.
I'd love to say bye with these nice pix taken during my latest visit in NYC...I reckon you all are going to guess straight away where I took these pix :)









And while driving to Washington we decided to sto at Carlo's...better known as CAKE BOSS :))

XMas Cards swap!

Con un bel di ritardo volevo ringraziare tutte le fanciulle scrappers italiane che hanno partecipato con me allo swap delle cards di natale 2010! Come vedete le vs cards sono in bella mostra e vi assicuro che davano tantissima aria di Natale in casa.....bellissime!! Grazieeee!!! Non vedo l'ora che arrivi lo swap di natale 2011 :))

Challenges....! New Cards!

Ok, here we go...new cards for new challenges! I must admit I could have done a lot better, but something weird happened...basically I'm not satisfied of any of the following cards! I wanted to try my news stamps, the ones bought in NYC, but I believe it was not the right day...Sob, Sob ! Anyway, lets start with the forst one:

Tricky sketch, I didnt know how to use matching papers for the layering bit, in the end I decided to leave the first bottom layer...white and work from there!

MOXIE FAB WORLD

CARD CHALLENGE for MOXIE FAB WORLD's COLOR ISPIRATION - this week's card.

This was a REAL challenge! I dont like bright, flashy colours, and I wanted to challenge myself by trying to put something together and see what was going to come out. This is the fonal result, I must confess I do like it a little, I mean it is not my cup of tea, but still...not too bad, innit ? :))

For this one I've used one of the Bazzill flowers that I kept in a drawer for a long time, it seemed perfect for this card, which I like...a little :)

Shopping in NEW YORK!

Happy 2011 everyone! I started the new year with some scrapbooking shopping in NYC...Have been to LEE's, knew they did not have a huge scrapbooking dept but managed to buy a few things anyway :) They had the entire Martha Stewart XMas Collection!

Buon 2011 a tutti! Io ho cominciato l'anno con un po' di shopping scrapposo a NYC...son stata da LEE's, sapevo che non aveva un reparto scrap enorme ma ho comunque comprato delle cosucce...:) Avevano l'intera collezione di Natale di Martha Stewart!

Afterwards I went to MACY's and almost died when I saw the Kitchen Tools MS Collection!

Dopo son andata da MACY's dove per poco morivo appena ho visto la collezione di MS di attrezzi per la cucina!

And this is what I bought at LEE's...

Ed ecco il bottino scrapposo di LEE's...
a HERO ARTS box with 18 small wooden stamps plus an ink pad for only 17$...not bad, innit?

una scatola di piccoli timbri in legno con tampone nero by HERO ARTS...a soli 17$...non male vero?
...Couldn't possibly avoid buying some kitchen stuff by MS as well :)

A Cupcake Corer, Pot Clip (how clever!) by MS, cooling rack by MS, mini muffins tray by MS, an off set spatula by MS, some other things and a cool spatula by MS which helps you to perfectly clean all jars till the very bottom, where spoons can't do much cos they dont have the proper shape...ho cool is that?!

...Non potevo certo evitare di comprare cose per la cucina by MS :)

Un aggeggio per svuotare il centro delle cupcakes o muffins, un pot clip di MS che regge il cucchiaio sul bordo delle pentole, una teglia x piccoli muffins by MS, una griglia x raffreddare i biscotti by MS, una spatula x torte by MS ed altre cose, inoltre una spatula by MS appositamente fatta x svuotare il fondo dei barattoli in vetro la' dove un normale cucchiaio non arriva xche non ha la forma giusta, ma quanto è cool sta cosa? :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011

I'd love to wish you all a very HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011! Wont be posting anything till the end of the first week of Jan 2011...cos I'm off to NYC tomorrow! For the umpteenth time I know ! I lived in NYC a few months when I was in my 20's and visited the city several times afterwards...but I cant get enough of it :) We were planning to go to Washington DC as well, but might change our plans due to the recent snow storm, we will see! NYC 3 airports seem to be fully operating right now, with delayes but still...they are open. We will departure from Paris, which is open and running right now, but we all know that was closed last week due to lacking of defreezing solution...Lets hope that wont snow again in Paris either!

I work with travellers, tourists...I always see them all arriving and departing from holiday destinations, stress-free and looking forward to enjoy their vacation...It is my turn now! But I promise I wont be a difficult guest like many of my clients are :) I'll be polite and wont bring down the roof if a problem will come up...(ehm...not quite sure on this topic actually hihihih)

Vorrei augurare a tutti voi un FELICE NUOVO ANNO 2011! Non mettero' nuovi posts sino alla fine della prima settimana di Gen 2011...perche' domani si parte per NYC! Per l'ennesima volta, lo so! Ho vissuto a NYC per alcuni mesi quando avevo 27 anni circa ed ho poi visitato la città diverse volte da allora...ma non ne ho mai abbastanza :) Progettavamo di andare anche a Washington DC, ma forse cambieremo piani data la recente bufera di neve, vedremo! I tre aeroporti di NYC sono aperti ed operativi oggi, con ritardi..ma per lo meno sono aperti! Partiremo da Parigi, che adesso è aperto come aeroporto, ma sappiamo tutti che la scorsa settimana era chiuso per mancanza di soluzione anti-gelo....Speriamo non nevichi piu' neppure a Parigi!

lavoro con viaggiatori e turisti, li vedo sempre arrivare e partire dalle destinazioni di vacanza, senza stress e che non vedono l'ora di godersi la vacanza...adesso è il mio turno! Ma prometto di non essere una cliente difficile come lo sono la maggiorparte dei miei clienti...sarò gentile e non faro' casino se qualche cosa và storto..(ehm..non sono poi cosi' certa di questo ultimo punto hihih)
